BSH Hausgeräte GmbH is one of the world's leading companies in the sector and the largest home appliance manufacturer in Europe. To be the first choice for consumers worldwide drives the company and its employees. BSH aspires to improve the quality of life for people with its exceptional brands, high-class products and superior solutions.
Alongside the global brands Bosch and Siemens, as well as Gaggenau and Neff, the brand portfolio includes the local brands Thermador, Balay, Profilo, Constructa, Pitsos, Coldex and Zelmer.
While the global brands are aligned to their respective target groups practically everywhere in the world, the local BSH brands each maintain a strong local relationship to the consumers.
BSH is a trademark licensee of Robert Bosch GmbH for the Bosch brand and Siemens AG for the Siemens brand.
Founded in 1967 as a joint venture of Robert Bosch GmbH (Stuttgart) and Siemens AG (Munich), BSH has been 100 percent owned by Bosch Group since January 2015. In its over 50 years of history, BSH has grown from a German exporter into one of the world's leading home appliance manufacturers. With more than 61,800 employees worldwide, BSH increased its revenue in 2017 to around 13.8 billion euro. BSH produces the entire range of modern home appliances at 43 factories worldwide. The product portfolio ranges from cookers, ovens and extractor hoods, dishwashers, washers and dryers, fridges and freezers to small appliances such as vacuum cleaners, coffee machines or food processors.
The ongoing digitalization creates even more complex demands on home appliances. In order to meet the constantly evolving consumer needs BSH will transform itself from a supplier of home appliances to a company that offers personalized digital functions, services and content in addition to home appliances.
With Home Connect, BSH offers a cross-brand platform as the basis for a rapidly growing ecosystem of connected home appliances and consumer-centric services for a special future experience in the kitchen.
The consumers and their needs are at the center of all of BSH's developments. Therefore BSH tests prototypes and products in user experience labs, under real-life conditions in all phases of development together with consumers. The results are thus constantly incorporated into the development of new home appliances and solutions. In this way BSH can precisely meet the different needs of consumers: innovative and high-class home appliances characterized not only by design, user friendliness and energy efficiency, but also additional digital benefits.
The individual strengths of the employees, their motivation, their technical qualifications and the strong, shared values are the key success factors for BSH.
BSH therefore promotes the development of its success according to their ambitions and potential, and offers a modern and agile working environment. BSH has continuously expanded its global network of employees over the last few years and is an open-minded company that values and fosters diversity: BSH employees on all five continents contribute a wide variety of perspectives and experiences, and are the basis for high-class products and solutions.
In 2018, the independent Top Employers Institute awarded the coveted international "Top Employer" title to BSH in Belgium, China, France, Spain, the United Kingdom and in the United States of America.
